Game 2 of the 2024 NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks is scheduled to tip off on Sunday, June 2nd at the TD Garden in Boston.
The Celtics won Game 1 107-89 on Thursday night, taking an early lead in the series. Kristaps Porzingis led the way for the Mavericks with 20 points, while Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 29 points and 12 rebounds.
Both teams struggled from the field in the first half, shooting a combined 38.5%. The Celtics took a 53-48 lead into the halftime break.
The Celtics pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Mavericks 33-19. They led by as many as 21 points in the second half.
The Mavericks will need to make some adjustments in Game 2 if they want to even the series.
