Guilty Verdict In Daybell Trial For Murder Of Wife And Children

Guilty Verdict in Daybell Trial for Murder of Wife and Children

Lori Vallow Daybell Sentenced to Life in Prison

Prosecutor Claims Doomsday Plot Motivated Killings

A jury in Idaho has found Lori Vallow Daybell guilty of killing her two children, 7-year-old Joshua "JJ" Vallow and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan, in a case that has captivated the nation.

Prosecutors argued that Vallow Daybell, along with her former husband Chad Daybell, planned the murders as part of a doomsday plot. They alleged that the pair believed they were preparing the children for the end of the world.

The verdict concludes Daybell's trial, which began in July and lasted seven weeks. The jury deliberated for less than three hours before reaching a guilty verdict on all counts.

Vallow Daybell was previously sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the first-degree murder of Tammy Daybell, Chad's first wife. The verdict in the capital murder trial for the deaths of her children follows more than a year of legal proceedings.
